Thanks

Medusa does not compile in VS 2005... although the .sln files are still for 2003, they can be upgraded if you open them in 2005 or perhaps even later versions of visual studio.

Good news for all those that are interested!
DarkSpace development is now upgraded to Visual Studio 2005 and is compatible enough to be run stable under GNU (linux).

So i am sjure that the Medusa code has been upgraded to VS2005 as well.
This is a good thing since that version is still more widely available compared to VS2003.
Still indeed it is a bit outdated. but considering that DS origine is from last century, i find it more surprising that we have been able to upgrade/update our code to newer technology standards. As i have seen in most cases, older software just won't be able to run on modern systems..
GO DarkSpace!

Grrr I have VS 2010. I'm still 3 years into the military, I have 1 more year before I finish. After I finish I have the change to go to school for whatever. A year out leaves me very impatient so I've been trying to learn my general C++ basics then attempt to construct simple programs. For more practice I go online to see where others have issues with their code and trying to figure out a solution to it before reading how the problem was actually fixed.

If anyone feels like dedicating themselves to brushing me up a bit feel free. I'm not looking to hug on someones shoulder if its a bother to teach. I've read so far the information listed in these forums. Investigating where to grab VS 2005.

No actually medusa works in VS2005 as of now. This must be a pretty old post right. It has become available since 2008. And I hope that is good news. Well it was surely good news for me.
